Since May 2009 we have invited all our guests to make any comments they may wish to make about their stay via the TripAdvisor web site rather than sending them to us. TripAdvisor is a highly-respected, global company whose main aim is to allow travellers to share their experiences (anonymously if they wish) about establishments world-wide - we use it ourselves all the time! We made this change because we feel this is more valuable to you as potential guest as you can be quite confident that any comments are genuine and independent. Whilst we obviously welcome feedback directly (and preferably before you leave) please add your comments via TripAdvisor if you wish.

Thank you so much for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. No detail has been overlooked in making The Firs quite simply the best accommodation we have experienced for some years, from the superior beds through to the superb breakfast, and all in sociable and picturesque surroundings. What a wonderful place to stay. We would highly recommend staying at "The Firs", Great rooms, great hosts and great food what more can I say........Only that we are rebooking for next year so you better get in quick!

Mike and I just wanted to say thank you for our weekend accommodation - the house is wonderful, breakfast superb, and we felt very much at home. We love coming to Newmarket, and have stayed in various places now - hotels, cottage, even a travel lodge! The Firs is the best! Thank you

Dear Adrian and Bev Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with yourselves. It was everything we both wanted it to be. The 3 room suite was excellent, was so cosy and quiet, we didn't want to leave it. Breakfast was lovely. I'm sure we will be back to visit you in the future.

Just a few lines to say how much we enjoyed our weekend at the Firs. There was nothing we could fault - the 3 room suite is excellent accommodation and the breakfasts were delicious. You are both top rate 'hosts' and it was one of the best birthday weekends I have ever had. We'll be back!!

Just to say that Steven and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you. I don't think we could have felt more welcome, been more comfortable, or had better attention anywhere ! (Loved the Waitrose Columbian ... I will buy some for myself when I get the opportunity !) Many thanks for your fabulous hospitality over recent weeks. The 3-room suite is fantastic, and is like a home from home. It’s great to be able to come and go as one pleases without having to disturb the occupants of the house. Your brilliant breakfasts mean I’ve been running 4 times a week just to work them off; not with much success. The champagne is a great touch to celebrate a win at the races, having discovered the jewel that is The Firs, or life in general. You are both such fantastic hosts; so welcoming and a pleasure to stay with.
